My Tell

If I would go to hell for lying, I’d like it to be the lies I tell at the detriment of myself

Making others happy

And saddening myself

“Alright, OK, Sure, No problem, It’s cool, I’ll do it, Don’t worry, I’m fine, I’m not mad, I’m not angry, We’re cool”

And you believe me every time

You noticed I can’t look you in the eye and lie

So I developed a way around it

Now I only look you in the eye when I’m lying

Because I can’t stand having a tell

I can’t stand being read like an open book

Because you’ll read it from the beginning to the end

And you’ll change nothing

Take no notes

Make no highlights…
